Meet the Staff
Steve Kimmel, Executive Director
Steve Kimmel joined the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce as its executive director on June 1, 2010. Prior to the Chamber, Steve was the publisher of the Herald-Press, where he worked for 35 years.
Steve is actively involved in many areas of the Huntington community including serving on the boards of Parkview Huntington Hospital, Huntington County Economic Development, Lime City Economic Development, Life Long Learning of Huntington County, Huntington County Community Foundation, and the Harmony Initiative at Huntington University. Steve is a member of the Huntington Lions Club.
Steve also helps in fundraising for the men’s basketball team at Huntington University, the United Way, and Boy Scouts of America.
Steve and his wife, Paula, have been married for 35 years. The Kimmel’s have one son, Seth, who is a financial advisor at Innovative Financial Services, the investment division of First Federal Savings Bank. Please email me at: skimmel@huntington-chamber.com
Ellen Prange, Bookkeeper
Ellen has been with the Chamber for more than 16 years. She is the caretaker of the finances. Prior to coming to the Chamber she ran Ellen’s Elegant Events and owned and managed a Bridal Shop in Huntington. Ellen is married to Richard and they have two children Leigh Ann and Randy. Jo Ann Burnau, Administrative Assistant
Jo Ann has been with the Chamber for over 6 years. She is the program/administrative assistant and she works on all events hosted by the Chamber. Before joining the Chamber, Jo Ann had real life experience operating her own business with her husband, Kurt, as well as several other business ventures in Huntington.
