YSB sends a “thank you” to the community

Posted: Friday, August 11, 2017

The Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County would like to send a huge “thank you” to all of those who helped with this year’s “Tools for Life” school supply program. Approximately 400 students received the supplies they needed to start the school year. This program depends solely on community support. Without the many caring businesses, churches, civic groups and individuals donating, the YSB would not be able to meet this need.

There are so many we need to thank for their generous donations. First, to those companies that collected items this year. Those businesses were: Dr. Geders at Huntington Chiropractic, Our Sunday Visitor, Crossroads Connection, Love, INC.  Thank you also goes to Rotary, Metro Kiwanis, Woman of the Moose, Eagles Auxiliary 823, American Legion Post 85, Future Leaders 4-H Club, Riverview Middle School, Huntington North High School, Huntington University, Calvary Ladies Aid and Eagles Flag team for their fantastic support.

A Huge thank you goes to the many individuals who donated supplies and/or financial support. Please forgive us if we have inadvertently omitted anyone who donated - it was not our intent and we greatly appreciate your support.

Even though the main distribution is at the beginning of the school year, we can also provide students with school supplies throughout the year. School supplies can be requested by calling the agency at (260) 356-9681. Donations of school supplies or monetary donations for supplies are accepted year round which allows us to continue to meet this need.

The Tools for Life is just one of the 16 programs offered by the agency. If you would like to learn more about this program or any of the programs offered by the Youth Services Bureau, please call us or email questions to or visit our website at

Thank you Huntington for being such a caring community!

Executive Director
