YSB “On Your Way Up” store is reopening

Posted: Thursday, July 2, 2020

The “On Your Way Up” incentive store offered by the Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County is reopening to the public. The store will be available by appointment Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“There will be a few minor changes due to COVID-19. Only one person at a time will be allowed in the store. Parents will need to wear a mask (you will need to bring your own). No children will be allowed at this time,” shared Jan Williams, executive director.

Donations are always needed for infant to 5T clothes, diapers, baby wipes, safety items and educational toys.

“The items in the store are ‘purchased’ with points that the parents earn by making healthy life choices for themselves and their children. These activities include, well-baby check-ups, attending parenting classes, participating in story hour, etc.” said Ira Bencun. “When you find yourself with children’s clothing you no longer can use and don’t know what to do with them, let us put them to good use.”

Call the office at (260) 356-9681 to schedule a time to drop off your donation at 1344 Maple Drive. Monetary donations are also accepted. Due to the liability concerns, used car seats and baby furniture cannot be accepted.
