Youth Services Bureau fund drive underway

Posted: Thursday, April 17, 2014

The Youth Services Bureau’s mission is to provide quality, comprehensive, empowering programs and services to assist youth and families as they encounter the challenges associated with childhood, adolescence and early adulthood. The agency offers seventeen different programs to help meet the needs of Huntington County’s youth and families.

In order to fund the programs of the YSB, the “Making a Difference” 2014 fund drive is underway. The goal for this year is $15,000. Gifts to the YSB are tax deductible and may be used in the following manner: $25 will ensure a student will have school supplies, $50 may be used to provide a cooking class for middle school and high school students in the Students out of School Program, $60 could provide an infant with a safe, age-appropriate child car seat along with proper installation, $75 purchases five suicide prevention posters with informational cards to be displayed throughout Huntington County, $100 provides an entire seventh grade class with suicide prevention education and $200 will provide an adult community suicide prevention training.
