YMCA welcomes four new board members

Posted: Friday, January 23, 2015

The Parkview Huntington YMCA board of directors has ratified the addition of four new board members, effective January 1, 2015. The YMCA seeks to put Christian principles into practice through programs that help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Those joining the board are listed below.

Bob Burnsworth is a realtor with Coldwell Banker Roth Wehrly Graber, and brings volunteer work experience with other community organizations, including Pathfinder and Turnstone Center. He is particularly involved with the Turnstone’s wheelchair basketball program.

Nili Ben-Yehoshua is director of Hebrew studies at Congregation Achduth Vesholom in Fort Wayne. The YMCA board will be the first such community involvement for Nili, as she is a former pharmacist with a degree from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel and MBA from Indiana Institute of Technology.

Ryan Lemon is Human Resources Manager at Novae Corporation. His board service marks a return, of sorts, to the YMCA. Lemon served on the board of directors from 2011-2012 and served as its executive director from 2012-2013.

Susan Zahn brings a wealth of non-profit volunteer experience, including the Riley Hospital Foundation and American Red Cross. Her family has been involved with the YMCA for a number of years and she looks to continue in that tradition.

YMCA board members serve terms of three years, renewable for two consecutive terms.
