World War II era warbirds will be on static display Sunday, June 18 at the Huntington Municipal Airport as part of the 2017 Heritage Days celebration. A T-6 Texan Warbird will also be available for paid rides from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited and a feed by the Civil Air Patrol will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A Young Eagles Rally will also be a part of the event at the airport on June 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This rally is sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 2 (EAA). It is part of a nationwide program that makes it possible for kids, age eight to 17, to have a free airplane ride, and introduce aviation to the youth of the nation.

There is no entry fee for admittance to the airport, and all proceeds from the public feed will go to various projects the Civil Air Patrol has in progress.
