VNC offering spiritual growth opportunities
Posted: Thursday, September 29, 2016
Victory Noll Center is offering several spiritual growth opportunities open to the community. Community Morning Prayer is offered every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 a.m. and consists of prayer with Scripture and optional time for quiet meditation/personal prayer.
Taize Prayer with the intention of peace and reconciliation among all people is available on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. This type of prayer is based on Scripture and the prayer of the church with singing and praying in a contemplative setting.
Another opportunity the Center is offering is Group Spiritual Direction. This will begin Monday, October 3 and usually meets the first Monday morning of the month at 9 a.m. This opportunity allows participants to engage prayerfully in discerning the experience of God in their lives in a small group confidential setting.
Friday, October 7, 7 p.m., through Saturday October 8, 1 p.m., “The Three Windows: Praying with Julian of Norwich” will be offered. Julian was anchoress at the little church in Norwich. Her writings: Revelations of Divine Love flow from her visions and contemplation. Using the metaphor of the three windows and her writings, retreatants are invited to reflect on God’s revelations of love. Registrations are due September 30. Cost for the retreat is $75 for accommodations and retreat. The fee is $50 for commuters.
Victory Noll Center is located at 1900 W. Park Drive. For more information call (260) 200-1740, email email@example.com or visit the website at www.victorynollcenter.org.
