Victory Noll Center announces programs

Posted: Friday, January 11, 2013

Ongoing programs take place each month at Victory Noll Center. Each Tuesday is Matthew 25 day where participants can make hats and blankets for those in need.

The Matthew 25 Project meets from 1 to 4 p.m. Hats and blankets are distributed through local agencies.

Group Spiritual Direction meets on the first Tuesday of each month through May 7 at 6:30 p.m. Sr. Millicent Peaslee, an experienced spiritual director, facilitates this gathering. The suggestion donation is $10 for those curious about spiritual direction and what it might be like.

Caregivers are welcome at Victory Noll Center to take a bit of time to tend to their own care. The Beside Restful Waters program provides caregivers with a time and place for quiet time on Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m.

Taize Prayer Services, based on a service used by the community in Taize, France, meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m., February 19, March 19, April 16 and May 21. A special service will be held January 15. Each service is based on an ancient style found in the church with songs, Psalms, a Gospel text, silence and prayers of intercession.

Women Veterans Wellness Retreats continue on January 11 through 13 and April 12 through 14. The focus of these programs is to gather with other women veterans in a safe environment and find self-care practices. The cost is $10 and scholarships are available. Early registration is encouraged as the retreats are limited to the first 15 women registered.

Gather with others working to educate and bring about awareness at the NE Indiana Task Force Against Human Trafficking. The next meeting will be Wednesday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m.
