Victor Noll Center to offer T'ai Chi Chih

Victory Noll Center will be the location of T’ai Chi Chih: Joy Thru Movement in two eight-week course sessions. Course I will be offered Tuesdays, January 7, 14, 21 and 28 and February 4, 11, 18 and 25.

Course II will begin Tuesday, March 4 and continue on March 11, 18 and 25 and April 8, 15, 22 and 29. Each eight-week session will be facilitated by Jan Parker at a cost of $64.

Parker is an accredited T’ai Chi Chih teacher. She also teaches wellness practices for churches, retreat centers, schools and service and healthcare organizations.

T’ai Chi Chih was developed by Justin Stone in 1974 and is a series of 19 slow, gentle movements and one pose dedicated to activate, circulate and balance the vital, universal energy that flows through the body. T’ai Chi Chih is of often thought of as a moving mediation and is not a martial art. It is designed to release tension, there is no awkward bending or stretching and it can be done by people of all ages and physical abilities.
