Two performances coming to Wabash

Posted: Tuesday, January 18, 2011

WABASH, Ind. – The Honeywell Center will host two dance performances in February when Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance and Dance Kaleidoscope: The Elvis Project comes to Wabash.

On Friday, February 4 at 7:30 p.m. Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, sponsored by Bippus State Bank, will take the stage. This classic tale of good versus evil, based on Irish folklore, brings a passionate love story to life through a mesmerizing blend of traditional and modern Celtic music and dance. Battle lines are drawn, passions ignite, and a story fueled by the dramatic leaps and turns of dancers builds against a backdrop of Celtic rhythm.  Tickets are $19, $29, and $45.

On Friday, February 11 at 7:30 p.m., Wabash Valley Music Association presents Dance Kaleidoscope: The Elvis Project.  Artistic director David Hochoy and guest choreographer Cynthia Pratt celebrate their favorite Elvis songs through dance.  This interpretation of the music of the King of Rock and Roll is sure to entertain both young and old.   Tickets are $10, $15, and $20.

Tickets may be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling (260) 563-1102 or visiting www.honeywellcenter.org.
