Trinity United Methodist seeks walnuts

Posted: Friday, September 28, 2012

Walnuts are being sought by Trinity United Methodist Church to benefit the Huntington County Free Health Clinic. It is the eighth year that the church has invited the community to help them pick up fallen walnuts and drop them off at the church toward the fundraiser.

The drop-off will begin next week on Wednesday, September 26 and Saturday, September 29 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the east parking lot of Trinity United Methodist Church at 530 Guilford Street. Walnuts will be accepted each Wednesday and Saturday at the designated times through October.

Tools to aid in picking up the nuts are available for purchase at the church and bags to hold the nuts are also on hand. These items may be obtained during church office hours: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
