Posted: Friday, March 31, 2017

The Worship Arts Ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church will present its annual Easter season program on Palm Sunday, April 9, at 2 p.m. The program is part of the church’s Evensong concert series.

The afternoon program begins with selections from vocal and instrumental soloists from the community and from Trinity, including violinist Kristine Papillon, tenor André Papillon, baritones Michael McGovern and Michael Langford, soprano Margie Stinson and pianists Myrna Neff and Greg Otis.

The program continues with the Trinity Handbell Ensemble and concludes with the Trinity Chancel Choir presenting “Because He Lives: A Musical for Easter,” created by Dennis and Nan Allen. In addition to the title song by Bill and Gloria Gaither, this worship experience includes Matt Maher’s “Because He Lives (Amen),” Darlene Zschech’s “Worthy Is the Lamb,” Matthew West’s “Blessed Assurance” and Elicia Brown’s “Oh, the Wonder.”

The Chancel Choir concludes the afternoon with “Roll That Stone Away,” an acappella selection celebrating the resurrection. Trinity United Methodist Church is located at 530 Guilford Street. Additional information about this concert and the series may be found on Facebook at
