Trinity to host Life Line Screening August 19

Posted: Thursday, July 2, 2020

Trinity UMC will host the Life Line Screening in Epworth Hall in the basement of the church located at 530 Guilford Street on August 19. This is an all-day event and sign up is available on line from the Life Lines Screening website

Life Line Screening looks inside your arteries for dangerous plaque buildup that can increase your risk for stroke and cardiovascular disease. The best prevention is early detection of risk, enabling you and your doctor to take action to keep you healthy and independent for as long as possible. Life Line Screening has been in business for more than 20 years and has screened more than 8 million people.

As part of the Community Circle, you are entitled to discounted pricing, and premium customer service from a dedicated Life Line Screening Community Circle representative. The process is simple, non-invasive, and painless.

In a little more than 90 minutes, you can have screenings done for: Carotid Artery Plaque, a major risk factor for stroke; Atrial Fibrillation, which can increase the risk of stroke by five-times; Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, a silent but dangerous enlargement of the largest blood vessel in the body; Peripheral Arterial Disease (plaque buildup in the lower extremities), also a risk factor for stroke and cardiovascular disease and a simple finger-stick blood tests are also available.

The technology they utilize is the same found in leading hospitals, and most results require review by a board-certified physician before they are sent to you. Patients will receive results within three weeks of your screening.
