Tri Kappa thanks the community for their support

Posted: Friday, September 25, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, events around the country have had to be rescheduled, changed or even canceled. Huntington events were not left out or unaffected by these issues. Tri Kappa’s largest fundraising event, the talent show “Follies,” has had to be rescheduled for May 2022.

There is still light at the end of the tunnel. Several businesses and individuals who had given money to have promotional space in the program for the “Follies” have elected to have Tri Kappa keep those funds so that the sorority can continue to serve the Huntington community through their various means.

Under hard times such as these, it is uplifting to experience the generosity that has been extended to Tri Kappa through these donations. Looking ahead and thinking of those the sorority will be able to bless with these funds, brings encouragement to all the women of Tri Kappa who look forward to continuing to serve their neighbors.

It is in light of these donations that the entire Tri Kappa family wishes to publicly say thank you to all those who donated! Annette Carroll, president of Tri Kappa and co-chair of the Follies, said, “We could not do the work we do without the willingness of the community to come along side and partner with us to raise the funds that bless so many. We look forward to continue to support local agencies and organizations in our community and all of that continues to be possible because of our supporters. Once again, we say thank you so very much. Our hearts sing gratitude and our spirits rest in appreciation!”
