Travel Channel to visit Nicks' Kitchen

Posted: Thursday, July 12, 2012

The Travel Channel’s “Food Paradise,” will visit Nick’s Kitchen in downtown Huntington on Wednesday, July 18. The Travel Channel crew will begin setup at 10 a.m. and will film and talk with people at Nick’s Kitchen during the lunch hour from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Jean Ann Bailey, owner of Nick’s Kitchen, is very excited and is asking for all of her customers to plan lunch with Nick’s next Wednesday. “I want to pack out the restaurant during lunch,” Bailey said. She continued, “This is the first time the Travel Channel has made a visit to Huntington and I am very pleased and proud to have my restaurant chosen as one of their stops. The Travel Channel will do interviews with the customers and inquire about the restaurant and especially the tenderloins.” Bailey went on to say “she believes the Travel Channel is visiting her restaurant because her tenderloin was selected as one of the top 46 sandwiches in the state of Indiana for this year’s Super Bowl.”

The Chamber encourages the community to visit Nick’s Kitchen on Wednesday and show support to this long-time Huntington establishment. The Travel Channel will be airing the show sometime in the fall. Bailey and the Chamber of Commerce will keep you informed of when the show will air once Bailey receives word from the network.
