Five new shows are coming to the Honeywell Center in 2018, including Warrant and FireHouse, The Illusionists, Manchester Symphony Orchestra, Classic Albums Live and the Beach Boys, shown in photo at left. Tickets for these new shows went on sale beginning yesterday, October 12.

The American rock band, Warrant, will take the stage on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Honeywell Center Ford Theater. Making their mark in rock and roll history, the band first came into the national spotlight in 1989 with their debut album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich. This album produced Radio and MTV chart toppers “Down Boys,” “Sometimes She Cries” and the massive hit “Heaven,” which reached #1 in Rolling Stone and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row. Warrant’s sophomore album “Cherry Pie” was released in September 1990. This album reached the Top 10 in the United States and went on to sell three million copies. “Cherry Pie” has taken on a pop culture life of its own, being featured in countless movies.

FireHouse is an American metal band that will also perform on Saturday, February 3 as guests at the invitation of Warrant. FireHouse formed in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1989. The band reached stardom during the early 1990s with hit singles like “Reach for the Sky,” “Don’t Treat Me Bad” and “All She Wrote,” as well as their signature power ballads “I Live My Life for You,” “Love of a Lifetime” and “When I Look into Your Eyes.” At the 1992 American Music Awards, FireHouse won the award for Favorite Heavy Metal/Hard Rock New Artist. Tickets to Warrant and Firehouse are $100, $39 and $29.

Straight from Broadway, The Illusionists will perform on Tuesday, February 13, at 7:30 p.m. This high-tech family-friendly magic show features five magicians. Audiences will witness stunning acts of grand illusion, levitation, mind-reading, disappearance and for the first time ever in history, a full view water torture escape. This group of world-class performers take their cue from the showmanship of the great illusionists of the past such as Harry Houdini and pair it with a new and updated contemporary aesthetic, whose set and costume design lend the genre a theatricality and artistry that has rarely been seen before. Collectively, these performers have been seen by millions of people around the world and this production showcases their incredible talents together on stage for the very first time. Tickets for The Illusionists are $75, $45 and $35.

Celebrating its 79th season, the Manchester Symphony Orchestra will perform the Dvoƙák Symphony No. 8 at the Honeywell Center Ford Theater on Sunday, March 11, at 3 p.m. Founded in 1939, the orchestra is a collaboration of professional and community musicians, along with selected MU faculty, staff and student musicians.
