Stutzman announces deadline for disaster loans

Congressman Marlin Stutzman’s office today reminded small businesses and certain non-profits of the approaching Monday, May 6 filing deadline for Economic Injury Disaster Loans for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

The SBA declared that small businesses and certain non-profits in Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Noble, Wells and Whitley counties were eligible for low interest disaster loans because of severe weather on June 29 and July 3, 2012. The loans are intended to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other expenses that could have been paid had the disaster not occurred.

To be considered for this assistance, eligible entities must apply by May 6, 2013. Eligible Hoosiers may apply online using the SBA’s secure website at
