Posted: Friday, November 15, 2013

Alice Plasterer Stickler will perform “Fun with Bubbles” at the Wednesday, November 20 meeting of the Huntington County Historical Society. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public at the Huntington County Historical Museum, 315 Court Street.

Plasterer is the daughter of Eiffel Plasterer who became famous for his “Bubbles Concerto,” even appearing on the David Letterman Show. Plasterer took over the shows after her father’s death and has performed 277 bubble shows since that time. Plasterer will present “Fun with Bubbles” and give a short history about her father, also an influential teacher and farmer in Huntington.

After the event, visitors can explore the museum and see the Eiffel Plasterer display including tools and materials he used for his show. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Election of officers will also take place.
