Stewart to judge Annual Art Exhibit

The LaFontaine Arts Council is accepting entries for their annual Art Exhibit held at Huntington University’s Robert Wilson Gallery August 1 through 28. The show is not juried and additional information, which includes an entry form, is available on the LaFontaine Arts Council Facebook page.

Entry forms and fees are due by Wednesday, July 24 and can be mailed to LaFontaine Arts Council, P.O. Box 55, Huntington, IN 46750. Entries will be received at the Merillat Centre for the Arts at Huntington University on Saturday, July 27 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Artists participating must be at least 18 years old to enter. Media in the following categories will be accepted: Class I - Oil/Acrylic/Watercolor/Drawing Media; Class II - Photography/Digital Media and Class III - Sculpture/Ceramics/Textiles.

The judge for the show is Susan Shambaugh Stewart of Wabash. She is a graduate of Indiana University and has a degree in photography. She presently works with high school students in the surrounding area who have been selected by their art teachers to participate in an art program called “Best of the Best.”
