State DNR properties have begun to open

Posted: Friday, May 15, 2020

State DNR properties have opened and will resume charging entrance fees today, May 15. A listing of entrance and other fees can be found at www.stateparks.IN.gov/5062.htm.

Equestrian and mountain bike trails are open for day use only with Nature Center and historic facilities in state parks properties open with reduced hours. Social distancing may limit the number of guests allowed in the respective facility at one time.

Marinas are open with limited operations, and state park guests should keep a minimum of six feet from other individuals encountered for everyones’ safety while hiking, picnicking or using boat ramps. Group sizes should be kept to fewer than 25 individuals and each person should bring their own drinking water and hand sanitizer.

For picnicking visitors, it is recommended they bring and use a covering for their picnic table and take it with them when they leave. If a parking lot is full, visitors should move to another location. If any visitor feels sick or is running a temperature, their visit should take place on a different day.
