A Star Is Born ceremony held at PHH

Posted: Friday, February 28, 2014

Ashley Lehman’s two children are both “Stars,” thanks to her hospital co-workers. Lehman, lead technologist in the hospital’s laboratory, was presented with a tile to place in the permanent “A Star Is Born” display that recognizes infants born at Parkview Huntington Hospital’s Family Birthing Center.  The tile notes the birth of Ethan Robert Lehman, Friday, October 18, 2013, to Ashley and her husband, Robert.

Following the presentation ceremony Tuesday, February 25, Lehman placed the tile directly below one honoring her daughter, Alexis Ann, who was born at Parkview Huntington on November 11, 2010. Both tiles were purchased by Lehman’s lab colleagues as part of Parkview Huntington Hospital’s “A Star Is Born” program.

Those wishing to commemorate an infant’s birth at the hospital can do so with a gift of $50 to the Foundation. The Corian tile is inscribed with the infant’s name and birth date. The gift goes into the Foundation’s Family Birthing Center/Pediatrics Fund. More information on the “A Star Is Born” program is available from Mike Perkins, Foundation director, at (260) 355-3316.

Shown in the photo is Ashley Lehman as she places the tile honoring her son, Ethan Robert Lehman, in the “A Star Is Born” display in the hospital’s Family Birthing Center.  Just above Ethan’s tile is one honoring his sister, Alexis Ann Lehman.
