Splash on the Wabash to be held at the Forks

Splash on the Wabash, a one-day festival highlighting Huntington’s Wabash River, will be held on Saturday, July 8. The event will be held at the Forks of the Wabash Historic Park, 3011 W. Park Drive.

The featured event is a lazy river ride down the Wabash River on an inner tube. The float lasts 60 to 90 minutes, with three launch times to choose from, 10 a.m., Noon or 2 p.m. Participants can bring their own heavy duty river tube and life jacket or rent a tube. Life jackets are required, and the float is limited to those eight years and older.

An entry fee is charged. Reservations may be made online at or by visiting Huntington Midwest American Federal Credit Union. Tube rentals must be reserved in advance. Free family activities, including inflatables, water paddle boats, “walk on water” balls and kayaks, will take place from Noon to 4 p.m. at the Forks. Visitors can also purchase zip line rides, hamburgers and hot dogs.
