Splash on the Wabash is cancelled for 2015

Posted: Friday, August 7, 2015

The steering committee for Splash on the Wabash has announced that they have cancelled their 2015 event due to factors associated with the excessive rains and flooding issues this season in Huntington County and its impact on the Wabash River area.

The committee is already looking at 2016 dates and will communicate that as soon as it is finalized. Tickets will automatically be refunded for the 2015 inner tube launch and sponsors will be contacted.

“We are sad to have to cancel as ticket sales for the inner tube launch were almost a complete sell-out,” stated Tina Bobilya, co-chair of the event. “We are committed to continuing this fun family event annually and hope to see it grow substantially over the coming years.”

Splash on the Wabash is a one day celebration of the local rivers and includes several water activities (inner tube launch, kayaks, and walk-on-water balls), live music, food, hands-on education/activities, inflatables and a rain barrel auction. The rain barrel auction will be conducted online and information will be released as soon as details are worked out.
