Special logo commemorates 50th Heritage Days

Posted: Thursday, May 2, 2013

A very special Heritage Days will be celebrated this year. It is the 50th anniversary of the event and the annual parade. In commemoration of this time of fun and historical remembrance in Huntington County, an added touch has been placed on the Heritage Days 2013 logo and button.

The “Steamin’ Into Huntington” logo now has a special gold circle around the edge of the photo and a gold 50th on the body of the steam engine. Heritage Days buttons, brochures and other items will reflect this special marking for the 50 year celebration.

The annual Chief of the Flint Springs Tribe breakfast will mark 45 years during the 50th Heritage Days week. At the breakfast on Thursday, June 20, the 45th Chief of the Flint Springs Tribe will be selected by the former chiefs and the 50th Heritage Days celebration will officially kick off. A variety of special activities will continue throughout the weekend.
