Sheets Wildlife Museum to hold After Hours

Posted: Friday, July 10, 2015

A Chamber After Hours will be held at Sheets Wildlife Museum on Thursday, July 23. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the museum located at 200 Safari Trail. The museum opened on July 26, 2005.

The Sheets Wildlife Museum is about preservation of wildlife, and a learning center with rotating exhibits, featuring displays from invited participants. Audio and video sources tell the story of Sumner Sheets’ wonderful experiences in the 56-seat theater, featuring a variety of wildlife films. With an interactive area, 75 lesson plans for K-5, covering state standards in science, math, language, arts, social studies, visual arts and writing, children too can learn about the wonders of nature. If you have not visited the museum, this is a great opportunity to come out and see what they have to offer the community and more.

Anyone attending is welcome to take a self-guided tour, or take a guided tour with one of the many volunteers that will be on hand that evening. Light refreshments will be served to all attending.

If you would like to attend, please reply to or call the office at (260) 356-5300. There is no cost to attend and it is a come and go event. This is another great way to network with others in the community to help build those valuable relationships.
