Severe Weather Preparedness events at library

Posted: Thursday, March 9, 2017

Severe Weather Preparedness week is March 19 to March 25, and it is often taken as time to prepare for the variety of severe weather spring can bring to Indiana. To participate, the Huntington County Emergency Management team will present a Severe Weather Preparedness Workshop Monday, March 20 at 6 p.m. at the Huntington Library.

The workshop covers how you can prepare yourself and your family for any potential spring weather disasters and will help you be ready should a weather disaster head our way. The program is geared towards adults and is free.

Relationships are about give and take, and for teens and young adults it can be hard to tell if your relationship is a healthy balance of the two. The YWCA of Northeast Indiana will present their Eyes Wide Open: Relationship Awareness program at the Huntington Library at 6 p.m. on March 22 and March 29. Teens and young adults are invited to come learn how to foster healthy relationships, and how to tell if you are in an unhealthy or abusive one. The program is free.

For more information on these or other programs, visit the library’s website at http://hctpl.info or call (260) 356-0824. The Huntington Library is located at 255 W. Park Drive.
