Posted: Friday, June 28, 2019

The Screeching Halts will take the stage on Friday, July 5, for the third Music in the City concert of the season in downtown Huntington. The Screeching Halts will play from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in downtown Huntington.

The band was formed in 2014 for a one-time company event at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems in Huntington. All members were Bendix employees. Not quite five years later, they have appeared at numerous company events, the Relay for Life and twice at the Bendix Sales convention in Tucson, Arizona, entertaining crowds with a mixture of tunes from the 1950s to the 1980s.

Stage sponsor for this month is Bob Burnsworth, realtor with the Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group. Series sponsors are The Party Shop, City of Huntington, Purviance House Bed and Breakfast and Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group.

The event is hosted by the Huntington Downtown Business Association.
