Score points and help Pathfinder win $10,000

Posted: Friday, March 2, 2018

Pathfinder Services has been selected from more than 2,100 charitable organizations across the country to compete in Brackets for Good 2018. Starting Friday, March 2, Pathfinder Services will rally supporters to advance in an online single-elimination bracket-style fundraising tournament with a grand prize of $10,000.

Pathfinder Community Supports division is competing in Brackets for Good to raise awareness of the programs they provide for people with disabilities.

“Of course, the grand prize is an enticing piece of this tournament, but we’re more excited about the exposure this tournament will create for our organization. We hope people throughout Indiana will learn about the amazing things we do every day to help those we serve gain independence, inclusion and stability,” said Kasey Davis, strategic development director at Pathfinder Services.

Davis continued, “We do so much more than people know. Community Supports helps people find meaningful employment, gets teens involved in summer camp, helps people find their creativity with extensive arts programming and ultimately tries to help everyone feel included in their community. This division provides integrated activities to hundreds of people every year, and I hope the Brackets for Good tournament will bring those to the surface in all of our service areas.”

Participating non-profits rally enthusiastic donors to out-fundraise their opponents in order to advance. Through the excitement, localized marketing and corporate involvement, nonprofits earn increased exposure, gain access to free fundraising tools and are introduced to new donors. Dollars from donors translate to points, giving participants the opportunity to advance in each market’s bracket. Competing nonprofits keep donations received during tournament play, no matter how many rounds they advance. The winning organization in each tournament receives an additional championship grant.
