Saving Grace Vintage retailer for milk paint

Posted: Wednesday, July 3, 2013

Saving Grace Vintage, South Whitley, has become the Northern Indiana Retailer for Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint.  The business, owned by Pam Tessie, will be selling the paint as well as holding Milk Painting Workshops.

Miss Mustard Seed, author and leading design blogger, is known for her budget-friendly DIY projects and painted furniture transformations. Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint is available from over 125 retailers in the United States including Saving Grace Vintage.

Milk paint is completely natural, biodegradable and chemical free with no odor. People have used milk paint for centuries in furniture refinishing as it is easy to use, requires little prep work and creates a gorgeous patina of age and wear. Miss Mustard Seed’s milk paint is available in 12 colors. To learn more about milk paint, visit the blog, www.missmustardseed.com.

Saving Grace Vintage will sell milk paint and has scheduled workshops to teach those interested how to use it. The first Milk Painting DIY workshop is scheduled for Saturday, July 13. It will be an INSPIRING Paint Party from 9 a.m. to Noon, and participants will paint a small piece of their own that they have brought along or one that has been purchased at Saving Grace Vintage. The cost of the workshop is $80.

Two workshops are scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and Thursday, July 18, 9 to 11 a.m. Known as Milk Paint 101, each workshop is a hands-on experience where participants learn all about milk paint, paint sample boards and complete a piece provided to take home. The workshop includes all supplies and the cost is $40 for each workshop. Light refreshments are served at each workshop.

Saving Grace Vintage is also offering special bookings and will bring the party to an individual’s location. They offer Girls’ Night Out parties, Team Building, Bridal Showcases, House Warming parties and more.

Workshops are limited to eight participants and payment in full is requested to reserve a spot. For more information call Saving Grace Vintage at (260) 416-8420 or e-mail savinggraceshop@gmail.com.
