Posted: Friday, August 28, 2020

The Salvation Army is asking the public for donations of canned and non-perishable food items.

Huntington branch officials say that due to the coronavirus pandemic resources for food items have been canceled and the need in the community has increased. Items needed most include canned vegetables, fruit, tuna, beans and soup. Non-perishable items are pasta, Ramen noodles and pasta meals.

Donations can be brought to the Salvation Army location at 1424 E. Market Street. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
