SA looking for Christmas assistance sign-up

The Salvation Army, 1424 E. Market Street, is looking for individuals that are in need of assistance during this Christmas season. The Salvation Army will be assisting needy individuals with toys and food during the holiday season.

Those interested in signing up for assistance should visit the Salvation Army on Friday, October 27; Friday, November 3; Friday, November 10; Friday, November 17 and Friday, December 1 all from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. The Salvation Army will also be open on Saturday, December 2 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Those looking for assistance, must have a picture ID for the head of the household; proof of address (mail or lease); approval letter from the FSSA office or Food Stamp/Medicaid case number. If the household does not receive one of the above, then proof of income and expenses for the last thirty days must be provided. The Salvation Army will need a social security card, birth certificate or Medicaid card for all household members.
