Rodeway Inn under new ownership, management

The Rodeway Inn, 2820 Hotel Avenue, opened for business on March 4, 2017 under new ownership and management. James Heister, left, was named the general manger in July.

The 60 room Rodeway Inn is still a Choice Hotel but has been purchased by another group of investors. The new owners have completely remodeled the hotel, literally from top to bottom. Included in the remodel are a complete new roof, new paint, beds, sheets, pillows, carpeting, flooring, TVs, all new landscaping and new blacktop and striping in the parking lot.

According to Heister, “The Rodeway Inn is one of the best hotels in Huntington with the best price.” Heister said, “We offer discounts for extended stays and want to connect with the local industry to help them with their guests.” Heister went on to say, “We also offer a hot breakfast to all our guests, 24-hour fitness center, vending machines, indoor pool with free Wi-Fi and free wired high-speed internet service and more. Our pool and Jacuzzi will be completely redone soon. We also offer a conference room for thirty guests for those wanting a place to meet.”

According to a press release sent to the Chamber, the partners’ humble beginning and tireless efforts that started with one hotel at a time has allowed them the privilege to own and manage more than 30 premium select- and full-service hotels affiliated with the Choice, Holiday Inn and InterContinental brands. The founders started in the hospitality industry in the mid 90’s with a modest, highway side motel.

This modest start gave the founders the drive and determination to raise and spread their hospitable qualities to different markets in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, along with other states.
