Ribbon Cutting held at OSV on February 19

The Chamber of Commerce and Our Sunday Visitor, 200 Noll Plaza, held a ribbon cutting on Monday, February 19. The ribbon cutting was in celebration of its new employee Fitness and Wellness Center.

Employer and employee discussions about bringing such an amenity to OSV started four years ago with a group of employees led by OSV employee Pete Eckert, labeled the “Dream Team.” The Dream Team was charged with nurturing that vision and seeing it through to completion. Renovations to the space that houses the center started last September and concluded in January.

According to Kyle Hamilton, OSV chief executive officer, a group of eight individuals began looking at other fitness centers in the area including Sweetwater Sound to see what they would like to have locally. Hamilton went on to say, it is important to OSV to give their employees an opportunity to exercise and provide the employees with a place to work out, play video games or just relax. The fitness center allows employees to use it during their breaks, at lunch or after work. Hamilton said he even enjoys the equipment himself. The fitness area also has showers and restrooms for employees to use during and after workouts.
