ReStore to celebrate Earth Day

The ReStore Huntington will help to celebrate Earth Day in Huntington with a variety of do-it-yourself demonstrations at its Hauenstein Road location. The event will take place Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Demonstrations from an assortment of vendors will take place every hour and free food such as hot dogs and ice cream will be served beginning at 11 a.m. The Joy Pleaser Clowns will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. entertaining, and those visiting the ReStore will have the opportunity to receive a discount on their purchase by spinning a discount wheel.

Those providing do-it-yourself demonstrations include Saving Grace-Pam Kessie making chalk paint and how to use it, M n M-Melissa Thornsbury making homemade Christmas ornaments, Simple Things-Becky Masterson Bates making soy candles and explaining the advantages of using them, Karra’s Kreations-Karra Ferguson demonstrating how to make t-shirt scarves, Maple Grove at Silver Creek-Mitchell Garrison explaining how Maple Syrup is made, Lahrs’ Mowing and Landscaping will show spring flowers and explain the planting of them.
