Remembering Hee Haw coming to the Honeywell

Posted: Friday, July 19, 2019

Remembering Hee Haw, starring original cast members “The Kornfield Friends” will perform at the Honeywell Center on Friday, August 9, at 7:30 p.m. The show is welcomed by 105.9 The Bash’s Saturday Morning Classic Country Hits.

Hee Haw cast members Lulu Roman, Misty Rowe, Jana Jae, and Buck will bring a touch of Kornfield Kounty to the Ford Theater during a performance celebrating the popular television comedy. The tour will have the audience involved from beginning to end with singing, clapping and laughing.

Debuting in 1969, Hee Haw featured music by country legends and hillbilly-themed antics and skits starring Roman, Rowe, Jae and Trent. Re-runs continue to be shown today on RFD-TV.

Roman served up laughs and greasy food at Lulu’s Truck Stop where the food and customer service was usually bad. She is also a member of the Hee Haw All-Jug Band and is known for sitting around in the parlor being a deadpan character and commenting.

Rowe is known for Bedtime Stories, a skit during which she would deliver bizarre tales, sometimes rewritten as a nursery rhyme. She would deliver a humorous “moral to the story,” giggle, wink at the camera, and blow out a candle on the nightstand.

Jae, known for the Blue Fiddle, would take audiences on a musical journey. Jae performed as part of the Buck Owens Band as well as a soloist.

Trent was known for his pickin’ and grinnin.’ He was a featured performer on Hee Haw and spent years working with Roy Clark.

Tickets for Remembering Hee Haw are available online at or by calling the Honeywell Box Office at (260) 563-1102.
