Posted: Thursday, June 20, 2013

The Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana has named Vince Buchanan to be its new executive director. Buchanan is expected to assume his new position July 1.

Buchanan is a business entrepreneur who has served as the president of the New Haven Chamber since June 2005. During his tenure there, the Chamber’s membership more than doubled and membership revenues grew by 300%. He has been closely engaged in regional activities over the past several years with both the Regional Chamber and the Chamber Coalition.

“The Regional Chamber has enjoyed significant success over the past couple of years, and our legislative delegation has been vocal in their support of our efforts. We are pleased that Vince accepted the challenge of leading this important advocacy initiative moving forward and building on an already strong track record,” said Bob Taylor, chairman of its board of directors.

Buchanan has been involved in several business ventures over the past 32 years, most of which have been in the restaurant industry. He attended Ball State University, majoring in Business Administration. Vince and his wife of 24 years, Annette, have three daughters, Bryn, Haley and Chloe.

“Through the efforts of the Regional Chamber and others, we are well-positioned for a period of unprecedented growth in our corner of the state,” said Buchanan “I am anxious to hit the ground running, working with our partners in making Northeast Indiana the premier region for employers and employees to thrive and prosper.”
