Purdue Extension to offer program

The Purdue University Extension, Huntington County, is accepting applications for the 2013 Master Gardener Intern Training program. The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, December 17.

Master Gardener Intern Training will take place at the Huntington County Courthouse Annex, downtown Huntington, on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. staring Monday January 14, 2013 and finishing on Monday, March 11, 2013.

Participants will be exposed to a wide range of subjects including soil and plant science, diagnosis of plant problems, pesticide safety and the culture of vegetable, flower, landscape and fruit plants. Materials and expenses for the series of classes cost $110 per participant.
