The Phil returns with Holiday Pops

Posted: Friday, November 11, 2011

Following a four year absence, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic’s Holiday Pops concert will return to Huntington County to ring in the holidays.  The Phil is very proud to once again bring the full orchestra and Holiday Pops back to the citizens of Huntington County.  This wonderful afternoon of music is a perfect way to get in the festive spirit for families, young and old alike.

Presented by Huntington North High School and MarkleBank, Holiday Pops 2011 will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 27 at the Huntington North High School Auditorium. Doors open for general admission seating at 2 p.m.

With newly appointed Philharmonic Assistant Conductor Sameer Patel at the podium, this year’s Holiday Pops will include selections from “The Nutcracker,” “Carol of the Bells,” the annual Christmas sing-along and of course “Sleigh Ride.” Holiday Pops will also feature talented soprano, Brianna Gamble, singing “Ave Maria” and other holiday favorites.

Tickets are only $10 for adults, and $6 for students and seniors. Tickets are available in advance of the concert at the Huntington, Warren, Markle and Fort Wayne branches of MarkleBank. Holiday Pops in Huntington is an affordable holiday tradition made possible by the financial support of local individuals and businesses.
