PHH recognizes volunteers for their service

Parkview Huntington Hospital honored 130 hospital volunteers during its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, April 15. The meal was served by the Parkview Huntington Hospital Leadership team in gratitude for the volunteers’ commitment to the hospital. The theme of this year’s celebration was “Dining with the Stars” in conjunction with celebrating the hospital’s 15th anniversary.

Volunteers were recognized for 17,123 hours of service in 2014. Milestone Hour honorees received certificates and pins distinguishing their achievements. Among these individuals, top honorees for their cumulative volunteer hours at the hospital included: Charlotte Campbell, 13,500 hours; Margaret Aufdenkampe, 8,500 hours; Margi Hunnicutt, 6,500 hours; Carol Snowden, 4,500 hours and Marian Linhart, 3,000 hours.

Margaret Aufdenkampe earned the 2010 Circle Award honoring volunteers who have served for 20 years or 10,000 hours. Thirteen recipients have received this prominent award.

“Our hospital’s volunteers are indispensable in providing valuable customer service and improving a patient’s experience. We have a dedicated, supportive group of volunteers striving to make a difference for Parkview Huntington Hospital. Thank you to all the volunteers for their outstanding service,” said Juli Johnson, president, Parkview Huntington Hospital.
