PHH dedicates renovated Birthing Center rooms

Posted: Friday, March 27, 2015

Mothers who have their babies at Parkview Huntington Hospital now have access to the recently renovated Family Birthing Center rooms, beautiful and inviting spaces to enjoy during their stay. The construction of the six Family Birthing Center rooms began in February of this year.

The Parkview Huntington Hospital Foundation generated funds to support numerous renovation projects for specific areas of need. The spacious, private rooms now feature soft décor and attractive wood flooring. Each room is furnished with a sleeper sofa for guests, a glider rocker for moms and a flat screen television.

Upon the completion of the Family Birthing Center rooms, Parkview Huntington Hospital hosted a ceremony honoring donations provided by the Parkview Huntington Hospital Guild and the John & Gale Mann Foundation. Each provided funds specifically for the renovations of two Family Birthing Center rooms.

“Our goal is to provide an excellent and joyful birthing experience,” said Juli Johnson, president, Parkview Huntington Hospital. “It is important for mothers and guests to feel comfortable during their stay as they begin a new journey in their lives.”

Parkview Huntington Hospital offers mothers-to-be a personal birth planning session and variety of birthing classes. For more information, please contact (260) 355-3651.
