PHH is again one of 2020's Top 100 hospitals

Parkview Huntington Hospital (PHH) leaders announced today that the hospital has been named one of the Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals in the United States by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. Regarded as one of the industry’s most significant designations of performance excellence, the annual Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals award is based on the results of the Hospital Strength INDEX from iVantage Health Analytics. This is the second straight year PHH has received the honor, and the third time in recent years.

“It is such a pleasure to receive this important recognition again,” said Juli Johnson, president, PHH. “Our hospital team members take a lot of pride in providing world-class care for every patient, and Top 100 recognition is a great reinforcement of all their hard work, patient advocacy and teamwork.

“As a community hospital,” she continued, “we are focused on not only offering the highest-quality care, but also providing access to the broadest possible range of services to meet Huntington County residents’ needs close to home. For instance, we just upgraded to a state-of-the-art 3D mammography system housed in a self-contained suite. Patients now benefit from more detailed images that help doctors diagnose breast cancers at earlier, more treatable stages, and they appreciate the convenience of relaxing in a private lounge between tests without having to re-dress and return to the main waiting area. In addition, in rehab, we’re incorporating technologies and techniques to treat specific neurological and orthopedic conditions for which patients would have had to travel in the past.”
