PHD, Inc. holds open house for the community

PHD, Inc., 4763 N U.S. Hwy. 24 E, hosted an open house for the community on Saturday, October 8. Incorporated on May 17, 1957, PHD manufactures over 600 different sizes of factory automation components with 4.5 million options possible. It also has an additional facility in Fort Wayne.

Company officials and PHD employees were on hand to give those in attendance tours of the 64,000-square-foot facility which was acquired in 1973. The plant focuses on precision CNC Lathe and Mill machining and houses 23 milling centers, ten lathes, grinding equipment, measuring equipment, fabrication, precision finishing machines, the clamp division and plastics division. Ron Cardin is the manager of the facility.

Following the tour, guests were treated to a brunch and the opportunity to register for door prizes. Over 400 adults and children visited the plant and enjoyed the wide variety of foods served by PHD employees.
