Pathfinder seeking volunteer for AmeriCorps

Pathfinder Services is now accepting applications for a 10 month volunteer position to begin in October. The new position is through AmeriCorps, a Corporation for National & Community Service.

The full-time AmeriCorps Community Assessment Associate will be focused on assisting with the Community Arts Plan for Huntington. The ideal candidate will have a high school degree or GED certificate, will be outgoing and will possess the ability to work with a diverse group of people, complete tasks independently and in a team environment, have good written and oral communication skills, and have the ability present to groups of people.  Responsibilities will include interviewing residents and community leaders, hosting community dialogues, and compiling data into a comprehensive plan.

Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00 and the total stipend for this role is $15,000 with an additional $5,800 education award with completed service.  A healthcare benefit is also available.
