Party Shop receives first in Window Contest

Posted: Friday, June 21, 2013

Placing first in the retail division of the 12th annual Heritage Days Window Display Contest was The Party Shop, located in downtown Huntington. Abby Hoffman, Party Shop employee, designed the window which depicts this year’s Heritage Days theme, “Steamin’ into Huntington.” The window shows a hand-painted engine pulling box car crates that are filled with products brought into Huntington and used by The Party Shop for its drinks and confections.

A traveling plaque will be displayed in The Party Shop until next summer’s Heritage Days with the business’s name engraved on it. A $50 Huntington County Chamber gift check, courtesy of Pace Chevrolet and Renz Floor Care was also received by the business.

Smith Furniture, also in downtown Huntington, received second place in the retail division. The contest was organized by the Huntington County Visitor and Convention Bureau.
