Parkview to hold stroke prevention program

Parkview Huntington Hospital will present a free program titled “New Therapies to Prevent Stroke in 2012” on Wednesday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m. The presentation will take place in the lower-level classrooms of the hospital, 2001 Stults Road.

The program will be given by William Wilson, MD, of Parkview Physicians Group – Cardiology. Dr. Wilson will discuss the dangers and risks of stroke associated with the very common heart-rhythm disturbance called atrial fibrillation. He will also identify new alternative drugs available for the prevention of stroke.
