Posted: Friday, May 24, 2013

Great golf, delicious food, and an intriguing assortment of auction items and competition prizes await those taking part in the 23rd annual Parkview Huntington Golf Classic, Thursday, June 27. Huntington University is this year’s host sponsor. Proceeds will benefit Parkview Huntington Hospital’s Family Birthing Center.

Registration for golfers is $90 per player, $360 for a foursome. Golfers can register online at Parkview.com/HuntingtonGolf. The registration deadline is Friday, June 21.

Event check-in begins at 11 a.m., with a buffet lunch for golfers at 11:30. The shotgun start for the Florida scramble is at 12:30 p.m. The day will conclude with a light dinner buffet and awards for the top foursomes, prizes for course contests, a silent auction and a live auction conducted by Scheerer-McCulloch Auctioneers.

Proceeds from this year’s event will purchase an infant warming unit for Parkview Huntington Hospital’s Family Birthing Center. It will be used in all delivery rooms, the nursery and the hospital’s operating room in the event of a cesarean section.  These units have integrated the latest technology with functional design and meet all current best-practice standards for patient comfort and safety as well as convenience and versatility for clinicians. Its presence is reassuring to parents who expect the very best in delivery and post-natal care.
