Parkview first in parade, other winners listed

Parkview Huntington Hospital’s entry in the 48th Annual Heritage Days Parade captured the first place award for the best float. The float held a cabin, and canoers followed the entry, keeping with the theme “Canoes, Conestogas and Cabins.” The group sang and performed at the judges stand, entertaining the crowd. Rick Baker, chairman of the Parkview Huntington Hospital board, is shown canoeing along the parade route. The Chamber sponsored parade had 116 entries for 2011.
