Parkview Boys & Girls Club has ribbon cutting

Posted: Thursday, August 13, 2015

The Parkview Boys & Girls Club of Huntington County held a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, August 11 at their new facility. The club is located at 608 E. State Street.

Brittanie Scheiber, president of the board of directors of the Parkview Boys & Girls Club of Huntington County, thanked the many people involved in making the new building a reality just before the center officially opened its doors with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The former church building on the site was demolished, and a new building constructed at the same site was paid for through a $3.5 million capital campaign.

Following a groundbreaking that was held in October of 2014, the club moved to temporary quarters at the Horace Mann Education Center until moving back into its own new building on Wednesday, August 12.
