OSV presents Boys & Girls Club with $100,000

Posted: Friday, February 28, 2014

Since the Parkview Boys & Girls Club of Huntington County began their Capital Campaign for a new building at the beginning of 2013, they have raised over $3 million of their $3.5 million goal. This has only been made possible by the generosity of individuals and corporations like Our Sunday Visitor and the club plans to break ground for the new facility in 2014.

Because their gift was one of the first given to the Club, OSV’s gift of $100,000 started the campaign out on the right foot. Kyle Hamilton, president and general manager of the Offertory Solutions Division at Our Sunday Visitor, has been a large supporter of the Boys & Girls Club over the past year. He has served on the capital campaign committee as co-chair of the major gifts committee and helped secure the large gift given by OSV.

“The Boys and Girls Club of Huntington County helps children and young adults discover their passion and their God-given talents in a safe environment where they are surrounded with positive role models and encouragement,” says Hamilton. “The Club (and all of the programs) is the best investment that we can make in the future of our community by enabling and empowering kids to become all that they can be. After seeing the condition of the current facility and learning more about all that the club does for kids, it was an easy decision to contribute to the capital campaign for a new facility.”
