Online tutoring available from the local library

Posted: Friday, January 15, 2021

All cardholders of the Huntington City-Township Public Library now have access to tutor.com free of charge. Thanks to the Huntington County Community Foundation and the Friends of the Huntington City-Township Public Library, all patrons of HCTPL can now access this service simply by visiting the website through the link https://www.tutor.com/huntingtonpub and putting in their library card.

Tutor.com is an online tutoring company founded in 1998 that connects students to tutors in online classrooms. The service offers on-demand and scheduled tutoring to students, from fourth grade through college. Users can connect with live tutors from 3 to 10 p.m. each day, related to more than 40 subjects online – including math, science, essay writing, foreign language and test prep.

All students, teachers and administrators in the Huntington County Community School Corporation qualify for a free library card with the Huntington Library, no matter where they live. Simply providing proof of enrollment or employment with some other required signup material is all it takes to receive a free library card.
